In this section you will find our policies on F.O.B. Location, Warranty, Delivery, and Payment Methods Accepted.
FOB LOCATION: Price and availability is F.O.B. Kanata (Ottawa) Ontario Canada unless otherwise stated. Pricing is in Canadian dollars although we will often accept US dollars at par or with minor price adjustment reflecting current exchange rates.
WARRANTY: Stuff is sold "as is" unless otherwise stated. Sales are final. There are no warranties unless otherwise stated in the individual ads for the items. If an item is advertised as carrying any warranty or guarantee, we advise that you print off and keep that ad in your records as your warranty statement, for your future reference. The ad will not be available to you later if you have a question about the warranty, because the ads are usually removed from the website after the items are sold.
DELIVERY: Delivery is available at extra cost and all items must be pre-paid (including estimated shipping cost) prior to delivery. If we are asked to deliver or ship an item, we reserve the right to cancel any transaction and refund in full any payment received from a buyer, if we are unable to reliably deliver to the buyer for the estimated shipping cost. If shipping internationally, we will not be liable for any duties, taxes or other charges levied by, not for any seizures or delays resulting from actions of, the buyer's government.
PAYMENT METHODS: Unfortunately, since we are located in Canada, we CANNOT accept PayPal because they still do not allow withdrawl of payment proceeds to Canadian bank or credit card accounts !!! (If you have a PayPal account please complain to them about this policy: they will not begin to treat Canadians fairly unless their customers demand it...) Payment is normally by cash, certified check, money order, or equivalent. Checks which are not certified will be accepted but goods will not be shipped or released to an in-person buyer until the cheque has cleared the banks. Any checks or other instruments not honoured by our banks for any reason (insufficient funds, errors in or damage to the payment instrument, etc.)will incur a charge of $25.00 or our actual costs resulting from the problem, whichever is greater. |
