Here is a very top end green-blue color tourmaline where the gem rough was mined from our friends Clara Chan & Ross Walkers Jagoda mine in the Mkushi pegmatite area of central Zambia, Africa. This really nice size tourmaline has an exceptional face up appearance & a very gemmy eye appeal with a fully saturated green-blue color. ((The enormous variety of colors in which Tourmaline is available is surely a major inspiration for some very talented designers and is the reason why tourmaline is so highly prized by collectors, lapidarist, gem enthusiast's and alike. Zambia has been mining Tourmalines for many years, and the most renowned mine is the Hofmeyer Mine near Nyimba. Production there has dropped in recent years but occasionally some fine greens and deep reds are mined by local diggers/miners at this now abandoned mine.)) This would make an excellent gift to that someone special, or an addition to a collection. Excellent size for a ring or a pendant! This gem runs around $100 per carat for this cut, color, clarity & carat weight from a jeweler, gem shopping network, or a gem trade show, around $295 market value.
Happy shopping! We are not new in the gem trade or auctioneering. We offer all natural gemstones, gem carvings, & facet/cab/specimen grade gem rough, with full disclosure of any enhancements known. We also offer excellent service in all aspects, secure packaging, and fast shipping. You will not be disappointed with this very fine gem!! Please realize that colors can slightly differ from monitor to monitor or with change of lighting (natural, fluorescent, full spectrum, or incandescent).
