New. Made-to-Order. Unfinished. Our Picket-Fence Birdhouse Toy Box / Blanket Chest are made entirely of wood. No MDF or particle board is ever used. The main box is constructed from 3/4" birch veneer. Each panel is interlocked into one another using dado joints. The posts are interlocked into the side and front panel for extra support. The lid is constructed from clear pine and consists of a pair of torsion safety hinges. Torsion hinges are similar to what is used on a lap top computer; the lid will stay open in any position. The toy box has handle cut-outs for ease of moving while the front is notched for safety reasons. If you need a size that is different then what we mention here let us know. If you would like to use this box for blankets, clothes or other purposes, we can add cedar to the inside for an added charge. We can also remove the handle cutouts and front safety notch but we do recommend keeping the torsion hinges. Please email us to let us know what you would like.
