This sword is a genuine hand forged 1060 carbon steel katana, hand sharpened with Japanese whetstone. It is fully functional and can be used in dojo cutting exercises, or can be displayed as art. Tsuba and handle base are etched Antigua steel. The handle is covered in genuine ray-skin, wrapped with traditional Japanese cotton, the grip is tremendous. It can be disassembled and re-assembled, A signature is engraved into the steel under handle. This beautiful sword is an authentic Japanese Samurai Katana in perfect condition that will cut through several inches of bamboo, causing no damage to the sword. This is not just for decoration.
