 | Very rare T.V. Miniseries based on true life events of the murders of The East End of London committed by the murderer called Jack the Ripper. This miniseries stars the excellent character actor Michael Caine. This version is considered one of the most accurate portray of these events. It is a must have dvd for anyone's movie library who loves quality thrillers.
Plot: During the latter half of 1888 a notorious serial killer nicknamed Jack The Ripper terrorises the East End of London by murdering prostitutes in a terribly violent way. Public outrage follows. Inspector Frederick Abberline is assigned to the case but finds that it is not just a simple murder enquiry. Based on a real life event, this film claims to have had access to top secret Home Office files and believe that their ending is the correct solution to the age old mystery.
The dvd is encoded NTSC REGION 0(PLAYABLE WORLDWIDE). The audio and video quality is EXCELLENT(rates 9.5 out of a possible 10). There is an interactive menu with scene selection for easy navigation through the dvd. Also, there is an audio commentary by the director of the miniseries.
