Classified Details

Friendly First Encounters was a charming series produced by Princeton Gallery (a division of Lenox) that depicts baby animals discovering each other for the first time. In "Nose to Nose," a golden retriever pup makes friends with a pair of ducklings. Modeled in fine bisque porcelain and hand painted to bring out subtle detail: the puppy's wrinkled brow, the duck�s downy feathers, the flowers' delicate petals. Body postures are beautifully captured, lending life to the curious pup so intrigued by these fuzzy quackers that he plopped down on the spot, with head cocked and legs splayed. Delightful addition to an animal-themed collection or gift for those who love golden retrievers.
