Here is a spectacular laser cut freeform purple Maraba amethyst where the gem rough was mined from the area around Para, Brazil. This gem has a very nice purple color and an exceptional face up appearance & very gemmy eye appeal, along with having a well executed laser cut. The Maraba mine in Brazil is not producing much material anymore and it can be difficult to acquire good amethyst from the few places known for top end quality purple amethyst like Zambia, Bolivia, Uruguay, Brazil, & Russia.
