The Sony VPL-CX86 3LCD projector is as versatile as it is stylish. Not only does it have an attractive white-and-silver color scheme that will match your Dell Inspiron desktop, but it is also compact, sturdy and loaded with connection options. The VPL-CX86 is designed primarily as a data projector, for use in professional and educational environments. Perfect for training seminars and presentations, the VPL-CX86 has standard PC connections (with a monitor pass-through) and extremely easy-to-use controls and menus.
But the board room isn't the only place the VPL-CX86 is comfortable. The unit is right at home in a home theater setup, too. It has composite and S-video connections and can be ceiling-mounted for added convenience. It also has a built-in speaker that can come in handy. When the projector powers off, a door closes in front of the lens, helping to keep it free from dust. The projector also features a Memory Stick slot and can be connected to a wireless network. The VPL-CX86 had an original MSRP of around $3,000.
