 | We are selling hand made Adirondack chairs. They are made right here in Albemarle from locally supplied products, by Americans, and sold for a little over cost. The chairs are made using Southern Yellow Pine that has been planed, routed, sanded to 320 grit, and then stained and coated in marine grade polyurethane. All holes are countersunk and piloted to prevent cracking. Also availible are other colors of stain (cherry is pictured) or painted to you choice. These chairs are designed and rated for outdoor use on patios and decks, but not in constant grass or dirt exposure. The reason we use Pine is to keep costs down, and to provide a better foundation for stain. We will not build you one out of pressure treated lumber due to the health risks associated with the arsenic used in manufacturing pressure treated lumber.
