 | | I have inherited a B. Shoninger Upright Piano, serial number 47083. It is a nice piano, so I am told by aquaintances who do play piano. I do not, however, and my apartment is too small for me to keep it and learn. I contacted a piano service with the serial number, and they told me it dates to 1911. It does need some repairs, but they do not seem major -- a few keys stick and the center foot pedal sticks as well. The wood is mostly in good shape with only a few chips. The keys are old and yellowing a little, and most of them are also chipped. After some research, it seems like the piano is worth much more than I am asking for it, but due to the repairs that it will need, I am asking for $500 or best offer. | |
