from Canton, China circa 1880; a pair of graceful tile-backed chairs. Each chair has a different tile depicting a court magician performing a trick. Chairs are in excellent condition; for decorative use, ideal for a dramatic entryway, hall or library setting.
Each framed tile measures 16"h x 11.5"w overall. Chairs are 42"h x 23"w x 18"d and are from a smoke-free, pet-free home in the Riverdale (n.w. Bronx) vicinity, where they may be seen by appointment. $1800 pair. | |
