This very classy book and craft set from New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art (Fifth Avenue) would be an excellent gift for a young person interested in the history and archeology of Gold and Gold craftsmanship, in art, and who likes to craft jewelry and other treasures.

Hard-cover 64-page full-colour book trimmed lavishly with gold accents explores the 5,000 year history of Gold craftsmanship techniques and achievements, with photos of more than 60 Gold Masterpieces from the Museum’s exhibit collection. An integrated Gold Crafting Kit contains detailed instructions, patterns, and all the materials to make 10 gold treasures including jewelry, a ceremonial mask, a fan, a picture frame, coins, and an illuminated letter. Valuable art, jewelry and craft-making techniques learned will be advantageous for future craft-making.
