I've been in the business of Computer Technician since 1986.
I started and ran a Business in the City of Quesnel, BC in 1995 called Cariboo Computer Systems and have serviced thousands of computers since.
I offer a no fix, no charge service.
Onsite, meaning I come to you, your home or place of business
My rates of Technical Services for onsite repair are $45.00 per hour. I am capable of diagnosing Windows related issues, but lack the ability to diagnose Linux, Unix and Mac software Operating Systems (OS's)
I am able to identify what computer peripheral has failed and what needs replacing if any.
I take careful attention to detail and inform the customer of what needs replacing or what can be fixed.
Don't take your computer to anyone whom says your Hard Drive has failed and that you will need a new one. (This is generally a scam as the person whom is telling you this, just want to sell you a new Hard Drive and profit from that).
I am mobile and willing to go just about anywhere in the Lower Mainland, I charge a $15.00 fee for gas and vehicle maintenance which must be paid regardless of the "no fix, no charge" deal. Please have this ready upon my arrival ...
My time is valuable as well as yours, I don't waste time or give you the grand tour. I am brief and to the point.
My hourly rate is non-negotiable as well as the fuel surcharge.
You can hire just about anybody out there today, but most lack the ability to fully understand why computers fail, mostly winding up reformatting your Hard Drive and have you lose your existing Data including your pictures, movies, music, and or anything else you have taken the time to
download these files.
There is a way to recover your Data, but is time consuming and can get pricy. Have a professional fix your computer, 9 times out of 10, it can be fixed at minimal or no extreme amount of time to fix.
Make sure you watch the person you hire like a hawk as it never hurts to learn what the technician is doing to your computer, and if you feel up to it in the future. You might be able to fix that same problem that happened the last time on your own providing you watch the Technician do
his/her Job. If the Technician has an issue with you watching him/her like a hawk. Then call in someone who doesn't mind the customer watching. I don't mind and encourage the customer to watch me ...
