Due to my ill health and lack of mobility, I'm looking to do something a little different!!
What I would prefer is a box full of early (old) stamps mounted in albums or stockbooks. I like Canadian and Provinces, USA , Great Britain and China best, but am open to worldwide, especially albums devoted to one country that I can expand upon. Basically any large group of albums with stamps would be great.
I'm not interested in large quantities of covers or stamps on paper or just loose. Some which are part of a collection are fine. A few old reference books (not too many!!) and collection equipment (tongs, perf gauges,magnifying glass, watermark detectors/ I need one!! etc) are welcome.
Basically what I'm looking for is an entire collection that someone put time and effort in and has either passed away or is no longer collecting. I'm not looking for something with any great value, just something that I can keep busy with and treat with respect, assimilating into my collection.
I also want to make it clear I'm not looking for charity although I would accept a donation.
Here is how I propose to complete this:

where my wife will retrieve it.
(Sadly she knows nothing about stamps or I could send her out buying!!)
Please enclose your asking price of up to $100. I've bought intermediate collections in the past for $20-$60 when I was mobile but I'll leave the pricing to you. Please be reasonable! If your price is acceptable I will send you payment by bank draft (please enclose your return address) or Paypal if you have an account (I will need your email address to identify you). Paypal would be the easiest for me but I know that not everybody uses it.
Should your pricing be too high please leave either a contact number or an email address where I may make a counter offer and give you an explanation as to why.
If we can't come to terms I will cheerfully return the collection to you at my cost(please enclose your return address). I doubt this will happen as I'm keen to play with most any stamps!!
Your risk in this will be the postage. A banker's size box with 25 lbs costs about $20 from Toronto. My risk is the same for return postage if we can't strike a deal ,so please be reasonable!
To summarize please send collection and the following:
Your asking price (max $100)
Your address to pay you or hopefully not, send a return
Your email address (to pay you by Paypal or counter offer price)
If you see this message I'm still buying!!
I will remove it when my wife takes my piggy bank away!
