The Snow Dragon Snow melting Way (Patent # 7,814,898) uses enclosed heat exchanger technology partnered with a high level agitation occurrence from the direct spray system and melt pan. This enclosed system does not allow any burner/(lame contaminants to be introduced to the discharge water and does not create an oxygen deficient plume found with submerged combustion technology. Water exits through a gravity weir system where debris, trash, oils, and other non-solubles stay inside the melter -- allowing water to exit cleaner than the snow being loaded into it. The discharge comes out fast and warm to prevent refreezing. You can park near or over a storm drain, catch basin, or hook up a hose and divert the discharge to another location.
