This Auction is for a complete Folio Book

"Costumes of the Holy Land"

Complete with the 6 prints, side tab with a brief description of each one, and a paragraph, a story on the folio book on the inside front page

Artist: Susan Southby
Published: 1957, Beirut, Lebanon

The prints are of from costumes from Bethlehem, Ramallah (Jerusalem area), Dabburieh (Nazareth), Safsaf (City was destroyed in the 1948 Israeli-Arab war), Lake Huleh (was by the Sea of Galilee, drained for housing in the 50s), and Ta'Amreh (by the Dead Sea)

These Prints by Susan Southby, the market has been thin, but in January 2014, a complete set of 1957 Prints sold for $150.

The Artist is Susan Southby, however, unable to find any other info on the person, except Her paintings/drawings were allowed on Postcards in 1948 to collect funds for the Palestinian Refugee Relief Fund by the United Nations(UNRWA).

Note, it is possible that complete sets, few survived because of the conflict in that area.

I believe my research posted above is accurate.

I'm at the age now that I'm disposing of my collections and possessions at bargain offerings. I believe with patience, these prints will be recognized for their historical value and be more valuable.

When sold, after expenses, a major portion of this sale will be donated to a charitable cause
