I have a Vosmaeri Eclectus Parrot that I need to rehome. She is approximately 13 years of age. I have had a change in my work schedule that keeps me away from home 2-3 nights a week. She needs an experienced owner who has time to be with her. I won't lie, she's had a tough life and can be a handful at times. She can be very sweet, but also extremely loud. She has some permanent plucking damage to her chest and neck. I have had her for about 4 years after finding her in a nail salon. She would do best in a low stress setting. If you have no experience with parrots, she is not a good starter bird. She does step up, sit on my shoulder and talks (when the mood strikes her). I am able to take her into the shower with me, stroke her back and beak. Others in my household are not comfortable with her so I'm the only human she interacts with. She needs more interaction than I can provide now and I'm looking for a loving, stable environment to place her into. If you are in the Chicago Illinois area, I will bring her to you.
