What Are You Going to Get Your Mom for Mother's Day in the Quad Cities?

Quad Cities Mother's Day in 2023!

Hello, Sons and Daughters, Sisters and Brothers, Mothers and Fathers, Aunts and Uncles, Grandmas and Grandpas and Other Assorted Relatives of One Another in the Quad Cities!

So, what are you going to get your mom for Mother's Day in the Quad Cities? Sure, you could get her some special candy, flowers or maybe something nice to wear. Jewelry? Tickets to an event? Take her out to lunch or dinner? Those things are always very nice things to do for a mother on Mother's Day!

However, what about something different for a change? Like maybe paying to have her piano tuned, room painted or maybe even paying for her to take piano lessons? I can help you with those types of things and even more!

If she does have a piano that needs to be tuned and repaired, that's one of things that I do. I also paint houses, clean and stain decks, refinish brass, and do just about any of the things that a person would expect a handyman to be able to do! What about having those dining room or kitchen chairs re-upholstered. Refinish one of her favorite pieces of furniture that needs some work? How about redoing the kitchen cabinets? Yes, I even do those things as well as clean windows!

Also, what you give to your mom for Mother's Day doesn't necessarily have to be received by her on exactly that day...

How about a singing telegram for Mother's Day? Maybe your mom is now elderly and she might really enjoy someone serenading her with some of her favorite old time love songs! If I tune her piano, I guarantee that I'll give her a concert when I'm done! You want someone to come dressed in a tuxedo? I just bought a new one recently that could use some more breaking in!

Perhaps you live far away from your mother and can't make it back...

I remember my mother, oh so well! She's now no longer with us. So, I won't be able to take her for a ride on Mother's Day or sing a song or play a piece for her like I used to do. But, I'll be sure to be remembering her though on that special day! One of the things that she loved to do was to make others happy, about life and about themselves. I'm sure that' she'll be smiling in Heaven if I'm able to help make the day a more pleasant and blessed one for another mother! I would also consider it a blessing and honor for me to be a part of something like that!

P.S. - There is one thing that I can't do for your mother on Mother's Day, and that would be to play the bagpipes for her, just in case you might be thinking of that. However, I do know someone who can do that! I mention that, because a number of years ago, someone from the East coast found me on the Internet and called me to see if I would play bagpipes for her father's funeral in Rock Island, IL.
