This 100-year-old church was the setting for the funeral of the slain RCMP constable in recent days. This historic stone church which celebrated its 110 years was the setting for the funeral on Tuesday, March 8, 2005. This book, about St. Matthew Church, illustrates in many black & white pictures the complete history of the church and congregation along with the history of Stony Plain, Alberta. It is also interesting to note that the slain RCMP Constable Peter Shiemann’s father, Rev. Don Schiemann was the person in charge of the celebration for this book.
The book contains very valuable information on all those who were confirmed during these 100 years. Many rare historical photographs never seen before. Size: 8 x 10. 158 pages. Excellent Hardcover binding. Much statistical information along with detailed record of yearly events and happenings in that church. This book copy is new and I published it for the congregation.
