Shipping charges
With the new shipping carrier's rate changes the size of the item along with the weight, makes a huge difference in charges. Both UPS and USPS charge by dimensional size rate.
Slipcovers are bulky especially for sets, so if shipping seems high it is because the shipping carriers are charging by size and weight.
