HAMMERED LEAVES BONSAI - Wire Tree Sculpture  HAMMERED LEAVES BONSAI - Wire Tree Sculpture,
by Sal Villano

21"H x 18"W x 18"D. Created using 24 & 26 gauge galvanized steel wire. The end of each twig is hammered flat to create a flat leaf which gives the tree a very full appearance. The tree sits on a mound made of sea sand many assorted pebbles and rocks. The sea sand and pebbles are painted in yellows and greens using India ink, which will not fade and gives the appearance of moss covered earth. The piece is planted on a 6.5 inch round antique solid wood base, with hand cut openings on the sides. The base is imported from Japan. #1119-09 $595.00 FREE SHIPPING to USA and CANADA!

The inspiration for creating my sculpture grew from a lifetime love of trees. I am in awe of the stately presence and silent majesty they posses. I find the structure of trees to be one of the perfections in nature. With their roots embracing the earth; in winter they show their bones, in spring gentle buds, in summer a canopy of green and in fall a magical kaleidoscope of colors. Beauty, pure beauty.
