GENUINE PAIR OF SANGE DE BEOUF LAMPS beautiful color, each lamp suports a extension tube holding 2 sockets. Once upon a time ,a century or so ago these Urns were discovered by our family and carefully cared for before their conversion to their present state of sharing light. The shades vanished. I am asking 500.00 for the pair but would sell (sadly) one at a time. They are a worthy pair. WORKING. The Sang De Boeuf (oxblood) glaze was first developed during the Ming Dynasty. The color ranges from cherry red to deep blood red The glaze may be crackled and may lighten to a pale color, cream or celadon at the lip. The glaze did not run. The color is derived from the use of copper oxide and the characteristics of each color is dependent on the controlled kiln conditions under which they were fired.
