Here is a dazzling aquamarine where the gem rough was mined at the Serrinha pegmatite, in the Medina area of Minas Gerais, Brazil. This is a very beautiful briolette stone with a very dazzling and very fine sky blue w/slight greenish color tone that's not washed out or no color zoning visibly seen. No eye-visible inclusions upon close inspection, with an exceptional face up appearance & a very gemmy eye appeal. It has a gold pinch bail with loop for attaching to a necklace for a pendant. -- In the gem trade aquamarine most often refers to the blue variety of beryl, but the first element of this compound word actually implies some green. Even Webster’s Dictionary defines aqua as "a light greenish blue color." Today most pure-blue aquamarines are heated from either green or greenish blue rough; the heated process removes the secondary green hue or most of it and leaves only the blue hue or a lighter greenish blue.
This top gem briolette pendant would make an excellent gift to that someone special and would make a great solitaire for a ring or even a pendant.
