Here is a very gorgeous museum quality Madeira color citrine briolette drop where the gem rough was mined from the Sapo mine, in the Doce valley of Minas Gerais, Brazil. This gem has a World Class Madeira color that is heat treated natural citrine and absolutely NOT heat-treated amethyst or smokey quartz, which is the majority (80%+) on the market. This stone is also of museum quality with an exceptional face up appearance and very gemmy eye appeal and is drilled to hang as a drop with any jewelry piece. **Natural citrines are rare but still inexpensive, and almost all citrines that have been heat-treated have a reddish tint! This natural gem has a spectacular luster and spectacular cut with no color zoning, and would make an excellent gem for a serious collector out there or even a very sweet pendant or better. This gem runs around $15 per carat for this color, cut, clarity, and carat weight at a jeweler, gem shopping network, or a gem trade show, around $370 on the market.
