 | Custom built fire truck bed.Fit's twin size mattress. Guaranteed to put a very big smile on your child?s face. I built this one for my son but as it turns out it's quite popular with the kids. I'm going to start building another one but I would like to find a buyer first so I don't need to worry about storing it when it's done. This way you can also choose your own colors, wheels, and personalized license plates. The bed has optional 6 flashing lights, horn and siren sounds (don't worry it's not loud enough to hear through a bedroom door) powered by a 9 volt battery. It has opening doors, 2 removable ladders, and 2 huge drawers. This is not the kind of furniture you can buy at a store. It was built solid to last, not cheap and light for easy shipping. The sides are made of 3/4" MDF, with plywood bracing and the cross sections are 3/4" plywood covered with 1/8" MDF. It tears down into a dozen pieces to transport (can deliver and setup). I?ve had 6 people in it at once (to weight test it) and I can stand inside the open drawers (not recommended but you could). This is unlike my sons nice looking Ikea dresser with cardboard drawer bottoms that anything other than socks fall through. The truck also rolls so if you have the space you can push it out of the way for cleaning. The wheels can be locked for safety.
Would also be great for a daycare without a mattress. Every kid who has seen it had to be pulled away from it.
