Here is a very fine labradorite where the gem rough was mined from the Smallwood Mine in Labrador, Canada! This gem displays an exceptional fine blue labradorescence while the stone is orientated. Labradorite (named after peninsula of Labrador in Canada, where it was found) is a plagioclase feldspar. It shows/displays a schiller (labradorescence) in lustrous metallic tints, often blue and greens, although specimens of blue and stones with a complete spectrum are most desired & appreciated. Would make an exceptional stone for a jewelry piece.
