Condition and description: Book itself is in very good condtion with tight binding and clean pages. Dust jacket has extensive wear, in the form of small tears to front and back. Spine of dust jacket is discolored from exposure to sun.

Wonderful book full of photos of the John F Kennedy family at the White House on on vacation. These are mostly candid photos - very few are posed.

From the inside cover: "...a unique look at the Kennedys in that it offers an intimate glimpse of the family - a side that very few beyond their personal circle were privileged to see.

Mark Shaw started taking photographs of the family in 1959, when he traveled with them for several months on and between campaign trips. The pictures were taken in Georgetown, Washington, Hyannis Port and elsewhere over a period of four years. Here we see the young family as never before: on the beach, on the water, at the breakfast table, at play and at rest."
