Here is a scarce parcel of some fine strong violet-purple (untreated) star sapphire gem grade rough mined from the Upper Umba River Valley in Tanzania. Pure virgin blocky pieces of rough that would make a very beautiful & scarce color sapphire, absolutely guaranteed. This gemmy rough is star grade with a host of qualities, yielding some very impressive violet-purple star sapphires when cut correctly by an experienced lapidary that knows how to bring out the asterism. The host on these sapphires were cleaned for better view of their beautiful & scarce color. This is translucent material and are pictured dry as all of our rough is.
