Classified Details
This is one of many medallic souvenirs from the 1959 Oregon Statehood. We have, over the last several years, sold perhaps 30 different So-Called Dollars, listed and unlisted, as there were a huge number of trade issues by cities, which shared a common obverse and then a localized reverse offering 50 cents in trade for the medals.

There is no distinction in appearance between 566 and 567 in the HK book, but one is silver and one is plated. I'll go with the designation of the medal being the R3 plated variety since I do not know personally how to distinguish the plated from the solid since the HK book offers no differences in weight or appearance.

Also, since we've been at it for 33 years, we are always inclined to question other professionals' grading and in this case, the medal has uncirculated details but I believe it has hairlines from being rubbed and thus should get that typical designation "uncirculated details".

It's very nice and we're offering this at a special price. What you see is exactly what's here--a very nice piece, struck well and if you want to have it tested you could see if it's sterling versus plated.

Priced such that we think it should sell quickly to the first knowledgeable SCD or Oregon collector who notices it
