 | | Wide-panelled 1959 Ampeg Jet 12 with navy "random flair vinyl". Serial number 912053, meaning produced in Dec 1959. This is an early circuit Ampeg, using a pair of 6V6 power tubes. These Jets readily overdrive, making them ideal for rock and blues guitarists. This amp generates about 15 watts. Speaker is a Jensen Concert DP-Alnico-5 6613. Speaker frame is stamped P12S C6613-2. We replaced three tubes with NOS Sovteks, but otherwise the amp is all original, and sounds great. Tubes are • 2 6V6 GT Sovteks • 5Y3 GT Sovtek • 2 Sylvania 6SL7 Condition: The grille screen is in excellent condition, with a faint stain bottom right corner visible in the photos. The cabinet is completely solid, original and the handle and tolex are in excellent condition, except the tolex on the bottom corners has been scuffed away, and there is a fine 2 inch long cut in the tolex on the top of the side panel. There is a very faint initial E Y about ½ inch high lightly scratched into the metal near the light, but we did not bother trying to buff it out.
