This is a rare out-of-print 70's action classic from Roger Corman, the one who bought us the 1994 version of the 'Fantastic Four'. Here comes again with his version of Gladiator and Caligula all rolled into one, years before them. This 70's film gem is a must have for ones collection. It brings back memories of those days when it was fun to go to show even when the movies were kinda chessey. They were just pure fun to watch!Plot: Two thousand years ago, the people of Rome are so blasée, so used to violence, that entertaining them becomes a political problem. Someone suggests, after a hectic girl fight in a kitchen between a Nubian and a Viking slave, as a joke, that they should fight in the arena, instead of male gladiators.
