Located 10 minutes east of Rocky. 10 Great Pyrenees x Maremma puppies out of working LGD parents available to go to their forever homes April 1. 4 males, 6 females. They will have first shots and be dewormed.
The working parents come from a farm with sheep, cattle, chickens and cats, guarding the farm from all kinds of predators - the four legged and two legged varieties. Although rural crime has increased, we do not worry with two of these large, intimidating dogs to guard our property when we are not around. We have not lost a single lamb, calf or chicken to a coyote and our garden remains deer free. They are truly an investment.
I believe every farm or acreage in Alberta should have one (or more) of these dogs! They are extremely easy to keep, always outside, loving even the coldest weather Alberta can throw at them. They are loving and gentle with all of the livestock but are fierce protectors. Historically, these dogs have been bred to guard their flocks completely on their own from wolves. They are highly intelligent and sensitive dogs.
The site shows the photo sideways - apologies. Also I am unable to upload more than one. If you are interested in seeing more photos please text or call.
