Classified Details

Made in Japan, this rice or tea bowl is black lacquer with a red and gold floral design. The inside of the bowl and lid are dark red. The bowl is almost 5 inches wide and about 2 1/4 inches high. With the lid on, the height is about 4 inches. "Made in Japan" sticker on bottom of bowl.

This is an older piece that belonged to my aunt who frequently traveled to Japan as her sister lived there for many years. There is a good deal of wear to the lacquer on the lid especially, and some of the red and gold paint used for the floral design has rubbed and chipped off, exposing the black surface. Light scratches to the inside.
