Wallenda: A Biography of Karl Wallenda

Morris, Ron. Chatham, New York: Sagarin Press, 1976 Crisp, beautiful red-orange boards are clean as a whistle with bright gilt to spine. Pages and page edges likewise clean, as is dustjacket which is most handsome in brand new protective mylar. Ex Lib with pouch inside front cover and library markings. But very clean, bright and unmarked otherwise!!

Tells the story of the great Karl Wallenda, considered the finest circus performer of the 20th century, from his poverty stricken childhood spent performing in the biergartens of Germany to his rise to fame and glory, with all the pain, struggle, fears and personal joys bracketed between. Wonderful photos show stills from performances and one sequential group of a circus feat gone wrong from start to eventual collapse. Reads like a novel.
