 | If you want to bring a mystery story to the film noir screen, you can't go wrong with Cornell Woolrich, even though his visions can be somewhat bizarre. Here the paranoia surfaces early and builds gently when New Orleans clarinetist Kevin McCarthy has a nightmare in a mirrored room where he kills a man, waking up with blood on his body, bruises on his neck, and a key in his hand. His brother-in-law, police detective Edward G. Robinson, is skeptical and dismisses the case. Then they find a house that not only has a mirrored room, but undeniable evidence of a murder. Nightmare was written for the screen by Maxwell Shane, includes a nicely integrated jazz score, and features the Billy May Orchestra.

This film has been enhanced frame by frame using professional video editing tools (MotionDSP VReveal 3) to restore the quality as much as possible, making this the best version available anywhere. It took Many, many hours to enhance frame by frame, trying to correct Sharpness, noise/pixilization, artifacting, fill light, color saturation, shadows, white balance, contrast etc Please do not expect perfect quality as it does not exist
