You will never be without hot water. The tank comes with a backup electric element, or it can be used in conjunction with natural gas or oil fired heaters.
Solar systems can be used to heat your home through hot water baseboard or even in floor heating.
Kits are available for any size household.
The following kit is designed for a 2 person household.
1x 300 Liter hot water tank with 2 heat exchange coils
1x array of 20 solar SHCMV evacuated tubes including mounting frame and header
1x Circulation pump station
1x controller
1x auxiliary heating element and control relay
For out self installation systems, you will need a working knowledge of plumbing systems, 1/2" copper pipe running to and from the roof array to your hot water heater, glycol (available from Unplugged Power systems or other sources), compression fittings to join the pipe, as well as pipe insulation and miscellaneous pipe fittings.
Installation services are available for an additional charge.
Please note, PEX pipe can not be used with these systems because of the amount of heat they generate.
It is a good idea to use a temperance valve to prevent scalding.
