Max Brand
Condition and description: Good deal of wear to dust jacket, small tears and soiling. Some bluish stains on back of jacket. The binding of this book, published in 1941, is still tight, and the pages are clean with the exception of age tanning.
This book was published in 1941 and is a nice collectible from that era. The inside jacket indicates that the book "while produced under wartime conditions, in full compliance with government regulations for the conservation of paper and other essential materials, is complete and unabridged." The back of the dust jacket contains an advertisement to buy war bonds and stamps.
The story is about Dr. Kildare's "coming to the rescue of a helpless town, and forestalling a dramatic appointment with death."
