 | I am selling a perfectly good (except for one of the hard drives which has failed) industrial-grade computer system for parts.
The system is working now, running Windows95 from its smaller secondary hard drive. Buyer is welcome to verify working order at our premises before purchase.
Parts available to be reclaimed from the system include:
- industrial grade 500 watt power supply rated for running multiple expansion slots, hard drives, tape backup etc on a 24/7 basis. Lockable on or off (keys supplied.) heavy duty cooling fan. Switched female accessory power supply outlet. Power supply is switchable 120/240 volt. This component alone is worth more than my asking price for the whole system.
- Large industrial grade tower chassis with some 20 (approx) rear, front and internal expansion slots, extensive internal racking, cabling and connectors etc.
- Pentium motherboard with 166MHZ AMD processor (equiv. to Intel 300-350MHZ), 32MB of 72-pin EDO memory, additional cooling fan.
CD-ROM (Toshiba 16x), 162MB hard drive, 3.5" diskette, 160 MB tape backup drive, fax/modem card, sound card with front-mount headphone jack, hi-speed Ethernet LAN network card, serial and parrallel ports etc.
Monitor, keyboard and mouse also included, if you like.
AND I'm throwing in an additional Dell 486sx motherboard in perfect condition except it needs a new CMOS battery.
The system was originally a heavy-duty, industrial/milspec 386 sx and was re-built with a new pentium 166MHZ motherboard new graphics card and new CD-ROM, early in the Pentium era. The chassis should support a wide range of multi-tasking applications such as multiple network cards, procesors, drives, and/or serial/parallel interfaces.
