 | A unique cross between German Wirehaired Pointer and Rough Collie (aka Scotch or Lassi Collie). Seven pups - 3 male, 4 female - available Dec 15 (9 weeks old) or anytime up to Christmas. Mother is purebred GWP with the best bloodlines (sire was flown up from USA for breeding); father is purebred Rough Collie with the best bloodlines (his tricolour sire was also flown up from USA for breeding to a sable dam ).
It’s the first litter for both the Mom and the Dad. Also the first time we know of crossing these two marvelous breeds. You can participate in the experiment! Both breeds are excellent around children and designed to be outdoors a lot. Both breeds are energetic, playful companions, highly intelligent working animals, extremely loyal, and generally well suited for farms or for people who love to hike or run.
Mother has been raised exclusively on a bones and raw food diet. Puppies have been weaned onto grain-free kibble, with lots of handling from our two young boys. Available for viewing at our 32-acre farm on Salt Spring Island. Call or email to arrange a time. You can also send a down payment to reserve your place in line.

German Wirehaired Pointer: Intelligent, highly trainable, sharp, energetic, a determined hunter with excellent water retrieving abilities. The GWP is also a loyal, affectionate and extremely devoted companion who is always eager to please, and who is especially fun around children. Rare in Canada, but the most popular dog in Germany and is also very popular in Scandinavian countries.
Rough Collie: Kindness, loyalty, intelligence, versatility, and affection. Collies were the original all-purpose farm dog throughout the UK. From show ring to flyball, agility, obedience, draft work, herding, as well as search and rescue, therapy, service, and guide dog - "the Collie does it all". | |
