COMMENTS: The Umbalite & Raspberry Red garnets are scarce garnets and are very highly prized due to their beautiful color and would most definately stand out set in a jewelry piece.
Stone has a slight bit more of a pink-magenta color tone than the picture displays due to lighting.
WOW! Here is a ravishing scarce Tanzania Umbalite garnet where the rough was mined from the Umba River Valley in the Lelatema Mountains of the Arusha Region, Tanzania. We are talking a really highly prized & scarce gem here! This gem has a exceptional face up appearance & a very gemmy eye appeal with a fantastic raspberry red color. Remarkable, color saturation, luster, and a well executed cut. ((The Tanzania Umbalite garnet is by far the highest quality & most valuable of the rhodolite group on the market these days besides the also scarce Tanzania raspberry red rhodolite and is getting increasingly difficult to acquire these days due to low production from the Umba Valley in Tanzania. It is scarce to to find this material eye clean, especially due to the point that it is scarce to find any Tanzania Umbalite or even Tanzania raspberry garnet over 3cts alone. This material is very sought after by many collectors due to it's unique & highly prized color tone, only known to the Umba Valley region of Tanzania!)). This would make an excellent gemstone to be set in a ring or pendant. These gemstones will most definitely make a very impressive ring that will attract attention to its beauty may times over!
