 | General Motors Motorama DVD Movies (1956) (1961)
A Touch of Magic
is a 1961 musical Ephemeral film about a married couple who experience the "magic of the present". It starts off with a designer at the drawing board, who day dreams about a 1920's couple, who travel to the middle ages. The film then travels to the then current 60's, and then has various shots of General Motors latest cars. The couple then appear in a early 60's style dream home with a futuristic kitchen. The couple are then seen dancing on a cloud. It was directed by Victor Solow. It stared Tad Tadlock and James Mitchell. In recent years it has gained itself a very small following.
Design for Dreaming
is a 1956 musical Ephemeral film about a woman (played by Tad Tadlock) who dreams about a masked man taking her to the the 1956 General Motors Motorama and Frigidaire's "Kitchen of the Future". It starts off with her in her bedroom, with the masked man suddenly appearing. He then takes her to the Motorama. After looking at several cars, including Buicks, Chevrolet Corvettes, Oldsmobiles and Cadillacs, she is taken to the "kitchen of the future", where she bakes a cake. She then goes back to the motorama and dances the "dance of tomorrow". After looking at more cars, she and her masked man (who unmasks himself) travel on the "road of Tomorrow" and fall in love.
