Managing editor Gable fires Bennett from her newspaper job but later sees her being escorted by playboy Stephens. Gable believes that millionaire Hamilton is about to divorce his wife, Alexander, because she has been seeing Stephens on the sly, so he rehires Bennett to snoop on her boyfriend. Bennett, however, gets wise to Gable's using her, so she throws herself at the playboy, going home with him after a party. Alexander follows them from the party, and, while Bennett is in an upstairs bedroom, she enters Stephens' mansion and begins a row with him. |
