I'm Mirina. I grew up in the Carman area and have been playing violin for 20 years and teaching for 3 years. I currently live and teach in Winnipeg both in studios and privately. I play professionally in a band as well as a solo performer in multiple genres of music.

I am offering violin lessons to students of ages 4+ in the Carman area. All lessons would take place in Carman on Wednesdays between 10am and 8pm, unless there is enough interest in a neighbouring town. I teach the Suzuki method, which is based on playing by ear. I prefer this method because I feel that it gives students tools to improvise and write their own music. It enables the student to know their instrument more than black ink on a piece of paper. I am most comfortable teaching classical music to start, but am completely willing to move outside that box as this is a learning experience for both my students and myself.

I'm offering lessons in 30, 45, and 60 minute blocks.
