 | "Tap'n Rockies" was fondly named by my husband & was re-established in 2000 when we renovated my Great-Grandmother's home place. Proudly owned and operated by Heather & Robbie Hartsell and our three children. Dogs and Horses have been a life long passion for me and my family. My Mother brought raising dogs & owning horses into my life many years ago and it just became a true passion. Tap'n Rockies is a family run, quality dog breeder located 30 minutes north of Richmond, Virginia.
We started off with Yorkshire Terriers and then met our true loves "Miniature Schnauzers". We have been breeding Miniature Schnauzers for a little over 7 years.
Our Miniature Schnauzers are the bosses on our farm. Although they have to share it with our 3 year old son, 9 month old twin girls, Labrador Retrievers, one sassy outside kitty & Horses.
We here at Tap'n Rockies breed for good health, sweet playful temperaments and great looks! Our main goal is to be a responsible breeder and produce puppies as close to breed standard as possible. Our pedigrees are out of Johnson Farms Miniature Schnauzers and other great lines. We breed for the more layed back Schnauzer. We want you to enjoy your Schnauzer. Our Miniature Schnauzers can go from jogging with you, playing in the yard, going to horse shows or just snuggling up with you in the recliner and relaxing. They are all round companions! Our Miniature Schnauzer puppies have gone to many different states: New York, Florida, Colorado, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Texas, Virginia, & West Virginia. If you want real quality in your next investment, you are looking in the right place.
We raise and breed all three of the traditional colors including Black, Black and Silver and Salt and Pepper. Our Miniature Schnauzers are AKC registered with champion lines.
A little information.....
If you’ve never owner a Miniature Schnauzer then now is the time. Miniature Schnauzers make great family pets. They are non-allergenic, playful and smart. We realize how important good breeding is. We love our dogs and take great care of them. Our adult dogs are kept up to date on shots, wormed year round with CERF testing done on our stud. We exercise and play with our dogs every day. Only healthy adults produce healthy puppies. With this being said, this is why we have done homework & bought Schnauzers from great lines to best represent the breed & for healthy puppies.
All puppies have tails docked, dew claws removed, are wormed and come with up to date shot records.
Each puppy is AKC registered, vet checked, shot and worming up to date. We will supply starter food, Mini Tips (informational hints) on puppy care, potty training, grooming and health. All puppies will leave our home healthy and VERY socially adapted to children!! From day one our 3 year old son is in the whelping box with the puppies hold them & giving them love!
