 | Purchased a balancer for my 96 Firebird, and after getting the old one off, I discovered that the old one was fine
and was not the source of my noise. I would have left it on for looks and one less part to replace later
but the stock bolt was not long enough due to this being an upgrade balancer for my 96.
I think this fits quite a few different GM 3.8's, but known for sure are the Camaro, Firebird, Grand Prix.
It will fit other Chevy's, Buicks, and Olds.
To know for sure if it will fit your car, hit up the Autozone website and look it up.
It is part number 594-004.
It is new in the box, just was placed on my car, but never run with the wrong size bolt. I think my
noise is the belt tentioner. It took me a few months to get around to trying to replace the balancer,
so out of return grace period, I learned my lesson and will not buy the tentioner till I'm ready to put it on. | |
