 | A multiple Oscar nominee (including Best Picture, when there were 10 nominees), and Oscar winner for Best Music Score, this picture seems more than a little dated today, but was just the ticket during the Depression, telling the story of a girl (Deanna Durbin) who gets the famed Leopold Stokowski to conduct an orchesta made up of her unemployed musician father (Adolphe Menjou) and dozens of his friends. A good introduction to Durbin for those who don't know what a big star she was in the 30s.
Video/Audio quality is very good 7-8/10
Disc comes with custom professional disc artwork!! |
