Here is a very fine labradorite where the gem rough was mined from the Smallwood Mine in Labrador, Canada! This gem displays an exceptional yellow & blue labradorescence while the stone is orientated. Labradorite (named after peninsula of Labrador in Canada, where it was found) is a plagioclase feldspar. It shows/displays a schiller (labradorescence) in lustrous metallic tints, often blue and greens, although specimens of blue and stones with a complete spectrum are most desired & appreciated. Would make an exceptional stone for a jewelry piece.
