EVT-168 EVT-4000e EVT Electric Scooter BATTERY BATTERIES

EVT-168 EVT-4000e EVT Electric Scooter BATTERY BATTERIES

Did you know that electric scooter require a HIGH DISCHARGE RATE type of battery that is usually NOT STOCKED by battery dealers in Greater Vancouver? Not all 50AH sealed lead acid batteries are the same. The ones stocked by battery retailers are LOW DISCHARGE RATES because these are the CHEAPEST and have the LEAST LEAD CONTENT. These LOW DISCHARGE RATE batteries have less lead material inside.

The EVT168 and EVT-4000 electric scooters work best with the HIGHEST DISCHARGE RATE batteries. These are usually SPECIAL ORDER ITEMS at retailers.

Is there a cheaper alternative to buying replacement batteries? Yes. Check out (surf) for REVIVED BATTERIES for information.

I can help you replace your EVT escooter batteries at a relatively low cost.

ANECDOTE: In 1999, my life was affected by a book titled, "Divorce Your Car" written by a woman living in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Because of her book, I got rid of my gasser car at the time and got some electric bikes and a scooter (popular with Google founders and Spielberg.) That was the beginning of my hobby of battery-powered transportation. In the small town in Michigan, population 1,500 folks, there were at least three electric scooters. The Currie Flyer scooter impressed me with its ability to climb up a fairly steep hill. Dr. Malcolm Currie, who designed these scooters, retired from designing army tanks and put his talent into zero-emission vehicles. I now owned about ten electric bikes, scooters, and never bought another gasser since. Learned a lot from trouble-shooting, modding, and re-working those electric scooters.
