 | | Ovation Celebrity CC-24 model.GOLD bolt-in Ovation tuners,OP-24 preamp unit,Gain/volume knob,3 band equalizer,bass,mid, and high slides,low battery lite,pickup was replaced with a NEW Fishman pickup,electronics work perfect,new Martin strings,20 fret adjustable neck,new black bridge saddle,guitar has a LOW,easy playing action.Guitar DOES have a history,please read on,I will explain this as best I can.It had the natural spruce top on it when I bought it.One night my son and friends came in drunk,and fell on the case and cracked the top from the bottom of the bridge right to the bowl,I got estimates from a couple of places,and found a luthier to fix it,and had him repair the guitar.THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT HAS BEEN DONE:the crack was completely stabilized and sealed with a layer of fiberglass resin inside the guitar on the inside of the top,it was flowed over the bracing too,for added strength,but the crack was STILL visible on the top,which WASN'T acceptable to me,so I had him put a REAL mahogany wood laminant over the old top,and stain it with walnut stain to make it look like one of the rare 1867 Custom Balladeer models in the dark walnut,he even saved the real Abalone soundhole inlay in the original top,and sealed everything under coats of clear,and the finish on it now is like candy coating,It DID add some weight to the guitar,but if anything,he over-fixed it.It's stronger now than it was brand new.I thought it would adversely affect the sound of the guitar,but it DIDN'T.It actually ENHANCED the lows that come out of it now,while still retaining ALL that classic Ovation twang,and high end,and the guitar actually sounds better than it did when it was brand new,IT PLAYS EXCELLENT,I WILL LET THIS GO FOR $200.00 FIRM.Guitar IS STAGE READY,come take a look at it,and play it for yourself before you blow this one off.Guitar Is 100% Professionally fixed and plays perfect with NO PROBLEMS.
