Here is a very unique & phenomenal garnet mined from the Embu (Kirimari), Eastern Province of Kenya! We are talking a really gorgeous gem here my fellow members! This unique gem color changes from pink-red to violet under torch lighting. Would make a beautiful gemstone mounted in a ring or pendant. This beauty (African origin) retails up to $250 for this cut, clarity, color change, and carat weight from a jewelers or gem shopping network, and thats if you can even find one. Good luck! Some color change garnets of exceptional quality of African origin can reach $1200/ct, whereas American origin normally only reaches $40 to $50/ct. Just amazing material, especially the Madagascar blue color change garnets just recently discovered and weighing in a hefty price per carat weight.
